FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. What days do you work?

I typically work Thursday through Monday noon to 8ish (off Tuesday and Wednesday). Although, I do take days off occasionally just like everyone else.

Infinite Art is located at 3930 Secor Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43623.

    Phone number: 419-292-1990.

    Shop Hours: Noon – 10 p.m.; Sunday: Noon – 8 p.m.

2. Is your shop clean?

All artists have received extensive training through Health Educators, which is superior and more in depth than the Red Cross classes. Most supplies and needles are disposable. Reusable items, such as tubes and grips, go through the hospital standard autoclave. Come see for yourself why Infinite Art has been voted “Best in Toledo” by the City Paper for nearly a decade. I personally promise a latex free environment. However, any allergies you may have should be discussed prior to the tattoo.

3. What are your rates?

I usually charge $100 - $150 an hour depending on the piece.

4. Can I get tattooed under 18 with parental consent?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. It is shop policy and all of us artists stand behind it.

5. How do I go about getting a custom drawn tattoo?

Stop into the shop with any kind of reference material you may have. Anything from printed off images on the Web to your own sketches will be helpful. For lettering, check out www.dafont .com which has thousands of fonts and allows you to preview them with your specific text. Most custom drawings are completed within a week.

** A deposit may be required for larger and/or complicated pieces. **

6. How do I set an appointment?

If your drawing is completed, you may stop in or call for an appointment. I DO NOT SET APPOINTMENTS UP VIA MYSPACE OR EMAIL. For new clients, you must stop in so I can judge the size, time it will take, and the price of the tattoo.

7. Why can’t I set an appointment before a custom drawing is complete?

Due to a hectic work schedule, I like to make sure both my client and myself agree on the overall design. This ensures we’re not wasting time redrawing the design resulting in running behind on other appointments.

8. What if I have to cancel my appointment?

A simple call is all I ask. One days notice is fine, but the earlier you let me know the better. I understand that tattoos are a luxury and things pop up in life. As long as you keep me in the loop, I promise you no hard feelings. NO CALL, NO SHOWS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!

9. What will I need/do for my appointment?

Be on time. Have a good meal. Be sober. And BRING your STATE ID with you. Also, for longer sessions wear comfortable clothes. Side note: Remember there’s always a chance that tattoo residue (ink, blood, A&D ointment, etc) may get on your clothes.

10. Will you tattoo anything?

That’s a big fat NO! I refuse to tattoo areas where ink will not stay. For example: palms of hand (including ring tattoos), the bottom of feet, toes, inside the lip, and ears. I prefer not to do faces.

As far as subject matter goes, I will not do gang symbols, swastikas, “property of,” or “power” tattoos. In addition, I will not rework any of those, but will happily cover them up.

In the case that I am uncomfortable or feel a different artist may be more suitable, I am more than happy to refer you to another artist.

** I retain the right to refuse any tattoo for any reason. **

11. So you do cover ups?

Yes, I do. However, cover ups tend to take more planning on my end and more leniency on yours. I must physically see the design in person. Consult me for details.

12. Do you replicate other people’s work?

No. 99% of the tattoos I do are custom drawn. Reference pics are helpful, but should not be exact. The tattoo, in my opinion, should be as unique as the person getting it. In the case of matching/friendship tattoos, as long as all parties are present on the same day, I see no problem.

13. Do you do touch-ups?

Within the first three months I will touch up your tattoo for $10 (which covers my expense of needles, inks, supplies, etc.). After three months, I count it as a rework, which I will charge $50/hour.

14. Do you touch-up other artist’s work?

Yes, I do. The standard $100 - $150 an hour charge applies.

15. What does Pi Theory mean?

It’s my little secret. AND mind your business. He he he.
